Selling is the process of helping an employer decide to buy you.

First, you must be sold on your self. This means you believe in yourself, have faith in yourself, and have confidence in yourself.

Second, have a saleable package. What image do you project when people see you for the first time? Are you a professional in appearance and demeanor? Do you speak clearly, with enthusiasm, and in short, to the point sentences? Do you listen carefully to what the other person is saying and ask pertinent questions to elicit additional information?

Third, know yourself so that you can give your sales pitch thoroughly with confidence that you can respond to any question, at any time, in any setting?

Fourth, learn about selling. There is a process that includes “asking for the sale.”
